Feeding America through a network of food banks across the USA.
Dream Center fills the needs of the individuals and families through rehabilitation programs, transition shelter for homeless, mobile hunger relief & medical programs, foster care outreach, providing furniture, clothing food, basic education, job skills training and more. Activities in Southern California.
Meals on Wheels is dedicated to ending senior hunger in America by 2020 by providing meals to elderly people through at home delivery, meal preparation and packaging, Senior Center Aides and more. Volunteers are needed throughout the USA.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank The demand for food assistance in Los Angeles County is increasing while it has experienced reductions in food and funds from the government. Currently they are seeking more volunteers and donations to help the growing needs of the community.

Help Children in Need
Giving Children Hope works to promote family sustainability, economic independence and self-sufficiency so that children may grow in stable environments. It also helps in the development & rehabilitation of under resourced clinics, hospitals and orphanges. Activities are in Southern California but they also have International Programs.
Schools on Wheels works one-on-one with children whose homelessness prevents them from getting the academic stability and help they desperately need. Volunteer tutors from all backgrounds and professions are needed to reach out to a child, to teach, to mentor and assist in their educational life. Activities are in Southern California.
Think Together aims at providing high-quality, academically oriented out-of-school programs for students regardless of race, creed, or socioeconomic status. Make-A-Wish works to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Habitat for Humanity works to build and repair simple, decent, affordable houses with those who lack adequate shelter around the world. Kiva is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world. Aside from lenders, volunteers are also needed as part of their Kiva Review and Translation Program (Editing and Translating). Hospice Foundation Is designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments. Volunteers can provide support through visiting, reading, taking walks, writing letters, bringing music, supervising visits with pets, childcare assitance, and more. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is a goverment agency working to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats in the USA. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the USA.
National Wildlife Federation Works locally to help wildlife, protect the environment, restore and maintain healthy ecosystems. Volunteer opportunities are available through regional centers in most states throughout the USA.
ASPCA The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is the first humane society established in North America. It is based on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and that they should be protected under the law. Support this animal welfare organization by volunteering at your local shelter, starting a pet food bank, becoming an animal activist, participating in cleanups for wildlife and more!
